"Hit the Trail" Mix!


It's officially hiking season! And running/jogging/biking/exploring the outdoors season! Whatever you like to do outside this time of year, make sure you've made a big batch of this powerhouse snack. Loaded with healthy fats, complex carbohydrates, and superfood's, this sweet and salty, crunchy and chewy snack mix will keep you going all day long! Plus, it's got a secret ingredient that packs extra energy… And 40 different greens! Curious?! Read on… And enjoy!

"Hit the Trail" Mix! 

Ingredients

1. 1 cup raw* Brazil nuts

2. 1 cup raw almonds 

3. 1/2 cup golden flaxseeds

4. 1/2 cup raisins

5. 1/2 cup goji berries 

6. 1/2 cup raw cacao nibs**

7. 1 scoop Garden of Life Energy Green Superfood Powder 

Method

1. Mix all ingredients in a large bowl and store in an airtight container until ready to enjoy. Perfect for throwing in a ziploc bag for a day at the trail! 

Notes

*you don't have to use raw, I just prefer raw because of the naturally higher enzyme content, making them easier to digest, and making he nutrients more bioavailable overall. 

**yoi can use chocolate chips, but keep in mind this will add lots of sugar, as well as lower the antioxidant content and overall healthiness of this snack.
