Cranberry-Ginger Green Tea


So the weather is FINALLY officially "hot"...which means it's officially time to start making biiig batches of lemonade (or ordering some of Anna's!), iced tea, or whatever your favorite refreshing drink is (I'm currently loving water with cucumber and orange slices...the cucumber turns the water alkaline if left in for over 2 hours, and the orange...well, it's absolutely delish!). But if you're getting a little tired of your usual summertime sippage, then this Cranberry-Ginger Green Tea is your new love. Sweet, spicy, and just a tad tangy, this antioxidant-packed beverage is the perfect addition to your picnic...and sure to please even the pickiest person! Enjoy!

Cranberry-Ginger Green Tea

Ingredients

1. 4 green tea bags

2. 5-6 cups water

3. 32 oz. pure cranberry juice (make sure it's unsweetened)

4. 1/4 cup 100% pure ginger juice

5. Anna's Organics SimplyPURE Liquid Stevia, to taste (I used about 40-50 drops...remember--cranberry juice is SOUR!)*

6. Fresh grated ginger, for garnish 

Method

1. Place tea bags in a large heat-resistant glass jar and set aside. 

2. Add water to a tea kettle and bring to a boil. 

3. While waiting for water to boil, grate about 2-3 T of fresh ginger into a small bowl. Set aside. 

4. Pour boiling water over tea bags and let sit for 1-2 hours (or until completely room temperature). 

5. Once tea is completely cooled, add cranberry juice and ginger juice and stir well.

6. Add stevia to taste, along with fresh ginger, and stir again. 

7. Refrigerate at least 2 hours and serve chilled.
