2-Ingredient Bone Broth Gummies!


Say WHA?! Yes, you read correctly. May I present my newest obsession: BONE. BROTH. GUMMIES. Yes!

These are gooey, gut-healing bites of gloriousness. Don't believe me? Just wait till you try them...

I'm still sloooooowly working my way back into "eating" after being on 100% liquids for 4 months...and these have been such a nice "in-between"! They require chewing (duh...) but since they're made of only bone broth (liquid) and gelatin (which dissolves), they're suuuuper easy to digest and still basically "liquid diet friendly." #WINNING.

These take a total of 5 minutes active prep (if you count standing by the stove waiting for the bone broth to start boiling...if not, then about 1 minute active prep!) and about 1-2 hours max to set. After that, it's snack time!

I started incorporating bone broth into my diet over a month ago now, and let me just say...WOW. This truly is a gut-healing superfood. The benefits I've seen have been INSANE! And in such a short time. My hair has grown, my energy has improved, my nerve pain has VANISHED (after 4 years of HORRIBLE nerve pain and muscle spasms), and that's just scratching the surface.

Gelatin, which is found in bone broth (and is the second ingredient in this recipe, is fantastically healing and soothing to the gut lining, and is great for those with inflammatory bowel conditions like IBS, IBD, Crohn's, Colitis, and even stomach ulcers. Gelatin is similar to collagen as far as benefits, but unlike collagen, which dissolves completely in hot or cold liquid without changing the consistency or texture of the liquid, gelatin dissolves in hot liquid and, when chilled, will "gel" (that's how you can remember the difference between the two: gel = gelatin!).

These are a quick, easy, nutritious, and delicious snack to keep on hand in the fridge. It's great for summer, too, when you still want to get all your bone broth benefits, but don't want to sip on steamy broth!

2-Ingredient Bone Broth Gummies

Ingredients

1. 3 cups bone broth of choice*

2. One scoop gelatin*

Method

1. Add bone broth to a large soup pot and bring to a rolling boil over high heat.

2. Remove from heat and quickly whisk in gelatin.

3. Pour bone broth-gelatin mixture into heat-safe trays OR silicone gummy/ice tray molds.

4. Let sit uncovered for 10 minutes to cool, then secure with lid and refrigerate for 1-2 hours, or until firm.

5. Keeps fresh in refrigerator for up to 5 days.

*Recipe notes: Not all bone broth and gelatin are the same! Make sure you're getting a good quality, grass-fed (if beef) or pastured (if chicken/turkey) broth, preferably organic. Check out the brands of both bone broth and gelatin I use HERE.
